EC2 Snapshot

Create a new instance Give name and Tag

Choose Application and OS Images

Select Instance Type and Key pair

Select Network Settings.

Configure storage,here we add new volume 10Gb

Two Drive shown here 30Gb,10Gb

Now increase volume size on D drive Go to Volume

Choose volume ->Actions->Modify Volume

Increase volume size 10 GB to 12 GB.

Increase disk size not reflect here

Go to disk management

Choose Extend Volume

Next

Next

Finish

Now See volume size changed from 10 GB to 12 GB

What are the files inside

The purpose of snapshot we move the file from old server to new server that purpose create snapshot. Go to snapshot

Resource Type Volume,Select volume Id,Description

Create snapshot

We already creating one instance windows-2019. We move file from old server to new server, so we create new volume in server-2019. Add new volume

We already create snapshot,that snapshot contains old server data,so we give correct snapshot id,and launch instance

Login new server-2019, then expand my computer here not show new volume 12 Gb we created.

Go to Disk magament->Online Now see the D drive, same files shown(What is file in old server-2012)
